Depth of Field

Tips when using depth of Field    Practice shooting with different f-stops.  A smaller F-stop focuses all the attention upon your subject.(people, pets etc...) This will give you a blurry background. A larger F-stop will make everything from here to eternity appear in focus. This is great for landscapes.

Practice shooting with maximum aperture.
When shooting in manual mode try shooting at maximum aperture.  The lowest number on your camera,  (maximum aperture) will give you a nice blurred-out background and draw attention away from the background and toward yourfocal point.  The closer to your subject you shoot, the more depth of field you’ll get out of the image.
