1.Make the Effort!
Have you ever saw a sunset that you wanted to get a shot of only to try to get it by pulling up off the side of the road to take a few hand-held snaps of the scene, before driving off again. Remember- it's all about composition! Get out of your car, walk around and check out different perspectives.
2. Remember the golden hours! -
Follow the Light -Make the most of your light. Shoot at the right time of day. Early morning sunrises and late evening sunsets - you will have softer, colorful light with longer shadows. This is a good thing.
3. Depth of Field-
You want everything in focus so remember to use your depth of field.
For best results, use a narrow aperture of around f/16 or f/22.
4 Use your rule of thirds-this will give your landscape shot a good balance.
5. Don't be afraid to use your manual focus. You'll be surprised at the difference it makes.
